Gosia Wolinska

Focussing on building Wolinska London with sustainability in mind and actively applying recycling and upcycling practices into her production, Gosia revisits her journey and romantic essence of her brand with a synopsis to her origins and values.

Gosia Wolinska is a Warsaw born, London based Fashion and Costume Designer; in addition, the Founder and Creative Director of her eponymous brand Wolinska London. Founded in 2017, an established history through fine arts, antiquities and craftsmanship is the principal spirit behind Wolinska London.

Gosia's inspiration and creative journey began right in the heart of her home in Warsaw, working alongside her father, training in the arts of antiques restoration at his workshop. Deciding to broaden and develop herself independently, Gosia boldly moved to London, landing in the fashion world through the involvement of visual merchandising and styling projects.

Creativity through fashion furthered Gosia's enthusiasm in pursuing a formal qualification in Fashion Design with Denmark's TEKO VIA University College, and soon after graduating began her fashion career in building, Wolinska London. Combining refined romanticism recognised in artworks and antiques of the Victorian era with the multifaceted characters of the dramatic arts, Gosia has grown her label through designing costumes for independent theatrical plays and opera performances of Shakespeare classics and subsequently concentrated on developing a line of Women's Occasion Wear.

Affiliating with the Slow Fashion movement, Gosia's collections are firmly centred around maintaining sustainable and ethical practices in every aspect of the product lifecycle.

While Wolinska London is the principal focus, Gosia's motivation to create an ethical fashion business incorporates supplementary upcycling projects and offering restorative garment services.
